Troop 5 Scoutmaster Announcements – Jan 21, 2025

We survived winter camp! Thanks to everyone who helped make it possible. For those scouts who took home frozen, wet tents, please bring them back once they have had a chance to thaw and dry. (We know it might be a few weeks until that is possible.)

Next week our scouts will complete this month’s program feature of Project Planning with a raingutter regatta where they will evaluate their boat building plans. Scouts should bring completed boats with them to the meeting according to the simple rules that they established: it must float, it must have a sail, and it can only be powered by breath. We have invited the nearby Cub Scout Pack to attend and/or participate as well. It should be fun!

Scout Sunday is February 9th! Troop 5 scouts will serve in some active roles in the worship service that morning at 9:30am in the sanctuary and our potluck brunch and court of honor will follow around 11:00am. Look for more information on the ski trip to come out very soon as we finalize that outing. That date is February 22nd.
